This is a nice little memory for Teito to get just after his last one, which was the whole slavery and feeling unimportant dealio.
More confirmation that he never knew his family! This is especially poignant in aather after he's experienced Shuri Oak's ties to his family, and has met Mikage's family as well in Shuri's heart, and how important they can be to shaping a person. Especially when contrasted to how Teito turned out (in his memories) from never knowing his family... it kind of strengthens some team-like feelings too, they have to be family for each other and are important in each others development. Even if they're not the warmest family.

Also, dere for Hakuren Oak. '-' And Mikage really is always with me, huh.
